With 看片神器 Huntington Medical Group, Hospitals Collaborate to Provide Enhanced Specialty Care for Growing Families
NYU Langone is joining with its new partner, NYU Winthrop, to enhance services for growing families on Long Island. Beginning May 15, expectant mothers experiencing high-risk complications, such as women who have high blood pressure or who are carrying multiples, can see maternal鈥揻etal medicine (MFM) specialists from NYU Winthrop Hospital at 看片神器 Huntington Medical Group, a multispecialty ambulatory practice.
鈥淥ur team of MFM experts will work closely with the obstetricians at 看片神器 Huntington Medical Group to help manage any high-risk concerns that might arise during pregnancy,鈥 says Martin Chavez, MD, chief of maternal鈥揻etal medicine at NYU Winthrop. 鈥淭his encompasses complications that the mother, the fetus, or both, may experience during pregnancy, including fetal abnormalities, diabetes, hypertension, and management of medical or surgical issues.鈥
At 看片神器 Huntington Medical Group, the NYU Winthrop MFM team will also provide prepregnancy consultations to mothers with a history of complicated pregnancies to reduce the risks for future pregnancies; screening and diagnostic testing for the pregnancy as needed; as well as perform state-of-the-art three-dimensional and four-dimensional perinatal ultrasound imaging.
This relationship will be further enhanced starting in August 2017, when obstetricians from 看片神器 Huntington Medical Group will begin delivering babies at NYU Winthrop in Mineola.
NYU Winthrop鈥檚 New Life Center features a relaxing home-like environment, while also providing comprehensive services, including:
- an on-call perinatologist (high-risk obstetrician) and neonatologist (newborn medicine specialist)
- the region鈥檚 only fetal surgery program, which provides life-saving in-utero treatment options under certain critical circumstances
- an advanced neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) internationally recognized for outcomes in both overall survival and survival without complications in extremely premature babies
鈥淲e are thrilled to partner with the MFM team at NYU Winthrop,鈥 says Elisa Felsen Singer, DO, clinical assistant professor in the at 看片神器. 鈥淏y expanding our services at both sites, we can offer our patients greater continuity and convenience of care, which ultimately leads to better outcomes.鈥 Dr. Singer also treats patients at 看片神器 Huntington Medical Group.
